Laboratory Staff

Dominic J. DiGiovine, Co-owner and Laboratory Director, has over 25 years experience in the environmental testing industry. His degree is in biology with emphasis in chemistry from Frostburg State University. Our field technicians are state certified for the collection of water samples and the inspection of on-site septic systems. Their training ensures that the samples are collected and transported in an environmentally safe manner so that no contamination enters the sample while in route to the laboratory. Once in our lab, our state certified technicians carefully examine each sample and conduct the appropriate test using EPA approved methods. To guarantee that our lab technicians have a full understanding of the collection and analysis process, we require that they also be certified for sample collections.

Office Staff

Eva DiGiovine Stoops, Co-owner and Office Supervisor, has over 25 years experience in the customer service and business industry. She supervises the scheduling of tests, the reporting of results, customer service, and the record keeping aspect of the business. Accurate record keeping is paramount to the integrity of this business. She insures that our office staff is properly trained to understand the importance of your phone call and are here to assist you. CEL prides itself on an experience and responsive staff to offer technical support on your water quality needs.

Procedures

CEL fully utilizes complex approved EPA testing methods to obtain the most accurate of results for your water quality needs. In addition our laboratory technicians follow a strict standard operating procedure manual for the laboratory along with the 21st Edition of the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater 2005 Centennial Edition.
